The city of Bremerton in Washington should be proud of the NAD disc golf course. It's a fabulous course, one that I would be stoked to live near and call my home course.
On the course I felt like I was deep in the woods. There's road noise, so it's not the perfect illusion, but considering this course is in a city, it's really beautiful.
It's not just beautiful and well-maintained, NAD is designed well too. I shot from the short tees to the long baskets. There were a few holes I could definitely birdie, even though I didn't.
There are holes that righty backhand players will love. There are holes that a strong forehand shot is the only logical play - or lefty backhand.
There are lots of holes that were birdie looks, or near birdie look holes that turned out to be stress free pars. But there are holes on NAD that kicked my butt. I double bogeyed hole 8 and then went on a bogey train for holes 9, 10 and 11.
For me, this course was quintessential pacific northwest disc golf. It had huge trees covered in moss, tons of ferns and lush vegetation. The course was challenging but fair. I will probably play this course every time I'm in the area.
